Tovorafenib: GBA takes a JCA report into account in its benefit assessment for the first time

Berlin, 5 November 2026

The Federal Joint Committee (GBA) has decided on the added benefit of the new medicinal product tovorafenib and, for the first time, has taken a European Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) into account. For tovorafenib – approved for the treatment of a specific brain tumour, particularly in children and adolescents – the GBA was unable to quantify the extent of the patient-relevant added benefit. The AMNOG-Monitor identifies the German PICOs – in this case PICO 2 – for which the pharmaceutical manufacturer was unable to submit any data.
